Well, its 5.45am in Lord Shagg-Pyle's House, and already the biggest kid  in the house, namely me, was woken up by a strange etheral glow coming through the curtains.
No, the local Chavs hadn't set fire to my wheelie bin.
Snow had arrived in Hampshire. As it is now over half an inch deep, and the local Council has called an Emergency Meeting to discuss the 'Problem', and the Press have started their usual.
"Massive Snowfall Gridlocks The South!" (The Times)
"Ok, It snowed, so lets get on with" (Any paper other than in the South of the UK)
"Mass Panic Buying of Bread, Milk and Blue Rinse Hair Dye, as the Met Office warns it could be set to last until Lunchtime!"( W.I Parish Newspaper)
"SNOW, and we blame Tony Blair!" (The Daily Mail)
"Global warming causes snow to fall in winter!" (Eco Warrior and Tree Huggers monthly)
"This wonderful snow has been brought to you by the excellent policy making ability of New Labour" (New Labour bum kissing propaganda daily)
"'Ere, Its well cold, Innit?" (The Chav Daily)

Whatever is said, the stuff looks nice, and is fun to play in.
Buts let not forget the sad side of the stuff. Poor old Frosty the Snowman does not get to stay around for very long.

In all seriousness, enjoy it and be safe folks. Nature, like George Bush, can be quite amusing and downright dangerous at the same time.

I'm off to  play now.

Byeeee!

Lucky s*d!

We have 'Hugh Grant' snow here, namely rather wet,a bit sloppy and tends to dither around a bit, before disapearing quickly. :D

Nice covering in North Hampshire and still falling, quite a few inches round my way and the route to work was some what exteneded buy me to have a play in the untreated lanes, and some were still virgin snow

But the main roads are all fine and running smooth, funny bit was that the entrance and roads into work were all gritted, but not the carparks, few dinks already  :?

how long will it last? Past lunch?

Been out playing this morning - took SWMBO to work, and then went the 'long way' home. Found a couple of UCR's that had not been driven - and witnessed some damn awful driving too

This was the best UCR - approx 4" of snow, and I was the first to drive it  :P

Was that in a company vehicle or your own?

if your own, check your insurance carefully (especially if you're getting paid for doing it)

If anything happens, they could consider it as a 'Hire & Reward' situation & not pay out

Sorry to put a 'downer' on it all
