gearbox problems on a sj410

hi i have just put a replacment engine in my sj because the last one was knocking a bit and it looked like it was smoking about 40 fags at once.
I put a new clutch and all its bitsput engine in adjusted cable but it still wont go into gear when runningstart it in gear clutch in it works ok changes a bit stiff

I take it the gearbox is the same one that was in before?

It has to be something that you changed. I suspect a clutch issue. Or maybe the spigot bush in the back of the crank is damaged and gripping the 1st motion shaft?
