So how many rescues have Defender drivers done over the last couple of days in the snow?

I pulled a Golf out of a ditch yesterday which an old series 3 with v small tyres couldn't manage. Later towed a van up a slippy hill. Was 3 hours late for work in the end and then we were all told to leave half an hour later!

One thing I noticed was the drivers of new (mainly Japanese) 4X4s whizzing along, thinking they can get away with overtaking at 40/50 in the snow and not even comtemplating stopping to help people.

Nice one!

I was a bit embarassed as I treied to do a 3 point turn on a hill in a housing estate with another defender watching and I just slid...

Out came the shovel!
