Hi guys,

Hope this isnt going to be expensive

The drivers side front wheel is sitting at a funny angle (positive camber) and not sure why?

Thought i would ask you guys before taking it all apart.

silly simple thing, but have you checked the wheel nuts? does it always sit in the same place, or does it change if you roll it forwards?

Could be Wheelbearings, Swivel pins & bearings, Wheel not seating squarely on hub. :)

I'd put money on the Railko bush/swivel bearings in the swivle.

Jack the wheel off the ground, grab it at the 12 & 6 o'clock positions and try to, repeatedly, push the top in and the bottom out to shake the wheel.
If you feel movement then get someone else to do the shaking while you look at the swivel seal, if you see movement here then you need to replace the swivel bearings/Railko bush as you may have a collapsed bearing.

You can get a kit from Paddock Spares to do the bearings, they cost £18.80 for the Railko bush type (pre LA930455) and £15.86 for those with bearings top & bottom.

If it is the swivel bearings, you'll also need all the relevant seals to do the job, and a suitable spanner for removing the swivel from the axle.

Whilst it's apart, check the swivel ball for pitting and replace that if necessary, too. It's not a job you'll want to do again in 12 months time.

You'll also need a suitable spring balance for getting the pre-load on the swivels correct. And about three hands for re-assembling it all!

If it isn't the swivel bearing, ignore this post!

Cheers

Its not a loose wheel

The wheel always sits at the same angle.

There doesn't seem to be any play when trying to move the wheel when its jacked up.

Think a new swivel kit is the answer (i hope)

Just as a bizarre thought - check the swivel for straightness (like, compare to the other one) and the axle for non-bentness.
