Still - I dare say the average IQ of the bush voters is way higher than all the numbnuts that have voted Labour since 1997

Would fully agree with you there.
I think any fool could improve the facilities in the uk with the additional TAX which we all have to pay.
It's quite scary when you add up tax on the income you get, then add the council tax, then take the money in which you have earned (which usually equates to your annual spend) 15% of that is also paid in tax when you buy something.
and then multiply by the number of houses on you street.
Scary!!

TBH it wouldn't surprise me can't quite remember the exact numbers (It was over 4 years ago, and books in the loft etc) but I know that statistically the Americians do actually have on average a lower IQ than us British.
They also need a far lower IQ score than us to be deemed as having learning difficulties... (If memory serves 75 points is our threshold 50 is theirs)
Scary stuff
Having said that....... I hate IQ's, as a test of 'intelligence' they do NOT take into account literacy/language etc so for example most dyslexics score low, but actually (on average) there is no such thing as a stupid dyslexic!!!!
Rant over
BTW it is rumoured than Bush is dyslexic, personally IMHO I think this is wishful thinking and one of those conspiracy thories to cover up yet another american governmnet scandal

And we used to get an extra 15 mins during exams. Didn't help that much. Still only got 3.

I never got statemented at school, just got etc spelling put down a class or three and no hassle for homework!!!! Nothing practical to help at all.
With the OU, got statemented, allowed use of PC during exams and given an the full amount 1.30 hours. Meant 4.30 hours for one exam!
Hated school, frankly apart from Art (only O level I passed got an A though :) It was a waste of time
OU was brilliant and with the etc help did really well and enjoyed it. Would seriously reckonmend.

Yep :)
Did three years (takes 6 for a degree hence half a degree
)
Was brilliant, not easy but well worth it, gave me loads of confidence literacy wise and I wouldn't be running my own bussinss now (Or been able to help Son No2 half as much which in it's self has been invaluable)
Also made me realise that what I'd wanted to do wouldn't have been for me

:) Thanks, TBH was hubbys idea, support, help and persuasion ( also threats of having to go back to old job after kids went to school  ) that got me on it.
My 8 year old helps me with the spelling on this thing
He's just finished reading the Hobbit, and and started on Terry Pratchett
And he also can add up better and faster than me, he often 'takes over' and does the sums when Im pulling hair out and stomp off having a girly strop when doing the book keeping
Very embarassing :)
It's not easy, but well worth it.
