the old disco bumper looked a bit out of place after a body lift .
so made a new one .
no more lost bumper ends!!!

Nice job.
Have you got any pictures of it as you built it?
What thickness metal did tou use-or was it box section.

Did you make front as well? same questions if you did.

I was toying with building my own for my disco.

Motor looks good..

no photo's of build. bumper is made out of 3.8 mm steel sheet
done on a press with a reinforcing web on the rear .
fromt bumper is a guardian tubular winch bumper.
rear bumper is easy to make if you have access to a guillotine and press.
if not you could get the sheet cut for you to size then well it

Don't forget to put reflectors on the rear to be legal  :wink:

it does need them for legality as the origional bumpers held the origional reflectors, and even a car has to have relfectors, and also beware, not sure on the actaul ruling but some mot testers will not allow that tape reflector, it has to be a proper plastic one as i found out, not that it makes a sod of difference. unless you want a test that is!

yes used 3.8 mm sheet but with a vernier on it .it is only just under 4mm
