One of our Consultants in our A&E department is thinking of P/Xing his 'P' plated Discovery Tdi auto for an 'X-Trail'

How do I talk him out of it?
Can he be brought back to his senses, he's such a nice chap as well.

Oh dear, just read Top Gear MAgazines review..

New generation of soft roader with decent on and off road manners. A recent facelift has lifted quality without doing away with gems like the chiled drinks holder.

Dont be fooled by: Land Rovers. This is much better

maybe you should hide all press cuttings from him :)

Why is he selling the Discovery, or why does he want an 'X-Trail'?

I have pointed out that with the 'Pots Of Money's he's on, he could buy a new Range Rover, or a Discovery3.

Unless he actually plays off road, then let him be, have you driven one? I have, and they are dead comfy to drive, little extra height than a car, 4wd for the snow and ice and of course, Jap reliability.

Chap up the road has just bought a CRV, very nice "Car" doesn't want to take it off road, but can't afford to loose days off work like last year because he's moved out to a village (Our beloved council send the snowplows straight past the end of the road leaving a huge pile of snow across the end). It'll get him to work and do all he needs of a car with the extra grip etc.

Now, If he wants to Play...... Well, he'll be replacing his exhaust once or twice :) See how long he keeps it.

Proper 4WDs are not safe in "Car" drivers hands....
