any one know which pipes go to what the su carb came off a mini

hif 44 (think)

also dosen't run propperly maybe wrong pipe some where

few seconds then stalls

can't touch the go pedel

Bottom small one is fuel feed.
Top large one is crankcase breather.
Top small one is float chamber overflow.

Had a similar issue with a Zuke the other weekend. Turned out to be muck in the float chamber. Have you stripped/cleaned out the SU?

yer did that befor i fitted it. ive got it running now the problem was too much fuel and the over flow was blocked. now it poors out of the over flow pipe, is the the jet being too big?

where can i get a correct jet ready for sunday lol. cheers

No. If it's coming out of the overflow, the float needle/seat are worn. Is it an HIF6 or an HIF44? They use different float needles. I would expect an HIF44 if it was from a late model Mini (1990-1993).

The main metering jet is always the same. It is the metering needle that gets changed to correct fuelling. If you are using it on a 413, the BDL needle seems to work OK in most cases.

its ok ive sorted it for him the float wasnt in correct and needed setting up and oil in dashpot :)

Great! It's usually something simple. The SU's aren't a complicated device.

Sounds like you've got some goo in the tank or a batch of dodgy fuel.
