IIRc the motor is in the engine bay. I could be thinking of something else though.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

dash out job! not that hard i did it a few times. the motor is on the n/s/f, if you remove the screws form the top of the dash, remove the bonnet catch and the glove box. you can bend the dash out the way. you might just need to free of the mechanism as against a new motor.

oh i had to repin my motor because on certain years they changed the plug!just a point to watch out for!
if only i was as intelligent as i look!
why do ex's never get the hint...STOP STALKING ME,THIS MEANS YOU!

Different on a vit then or I'm thinking of something else, either is possible :)

On most systems there is a multifunction switch that tells the relay that the wiper is back in the 'home' position. I have seen this used to directly control the motor before now. It may just need cleaning and degunking in this case. Idea is once the wiper arm moves, this switch powers the mototr untill it comes back and the switch opens again. I dont know if the zooks do it this way but given some of the cost saving bodges they have done on these cars they probobly have.
