Urgent Help Needed-Disco -Removing the alarm backup battery?
« on: February 23, 2007, 15:26:47 »
Hi, how do i remove the alarm backup battery on a 300TDI Discovery?

I think it's knackered and running my battery down each night, so I've had to jump start it today and yesterday mornings!

I don't even know where the battery is in the Disco!

Cheers!

One thing I did whe I had a similar prob on my d1, was a servo damaged the circuit board. Causing a power drain overnight

Until I got a replacement alarm box, I disconnected the multiplug from the alarm, it meant that the motor would not start, but no drainage

The alarm fob on mine was the single membrane button witht he land rover logo on it, dont know if this is the same unit as yours

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
