Front diff exploded, And a whole lot more!!!!
« on: February 25, 2007, 15:53:06 »
As a few you are aware on helping a few stuck motors up at the NEC last week my front diff went bang, got my disco recovered to our workshop,so replaced the front axle complete due to a hole in the diff pan, Replaced the rear axle due to hole in diff pan, poly bushed all, front n rear, Removed the engine to replace the slipping clutch, Replaced the timing chest gasket, sump reseal, vac pump reseal, front crank seal, camshaft seal, timing belt, Resealed the clutch slave cylinder,

Just collected it from the workshop after a 5am finish sat morning, then back up at 10 to do bezzas timing belt and service, she drives so sweet, polybushes make such a difference, ready to dirty again

Will add a few pics when i can resize them

I agree, would be soooooo nice to have a garage at the side of the house that seem to come as standard to yanky homes

Mick, hope the rock-sliders are solid as you'll get loads of bellying out with the motor like that    Good job you've got a winch fitted
