Surely some they need to apply at least a LITTLE bit of common sense? "We're here to save you, and now, just because you happen to be driving through your own city centre, we're gonna run you off the road!".

That bus should have fought back.

For obvious reasons the yanks, once out on patrol, are not allowed to stop and everyone has to learn to get out of their way

It's either keep moving or get blown up/shot at/someone go boom near them.  You get the idea.

Most of the Vehicles that get hit are on the move anyway.
The IED's that get them are usually on a command wire so they'll be being watched or followed.

Thats just being BIG & YANK

To be fair they are blowing the horn all the way. We don't know what context the driving is in. It could well be they are trying to save people who are in great danger. I'm pretty certain they aren't on there way down to the kebab house thats for certain.

While a set of sirens may be a good start it's fairly controlled in so much as on the approach to vehicles they are pretty slow and the shunts are mere "Excuse me could we pass" as opposed to "Stuff you we're comming through get your kneck brace ready sucker."  If they wanted to be real arses they could have really wiped out vehicles on that run.

The vehicle occupants are clearly calm, theres no "Yeah ha!" to my recollection.

They are doing a very difficult job in a very difficult situation and I take my hat off to them - despite the fact they should never have been there in the first place they have been shafted somewhat.
