I seem to have managed to miss all this on the news - is it petrol or diesel or both that are affected ?Is it particular to one area
The trouble appears to be limited to standard 95 octane unleaded petrol from major supermarket chains. The investigation was centred on independent supplier Greenergy, which stores imported fuel in vast tanks at a depot in the Thames estuary area.
Quinton wilson now on news saying if you own a range rover don't drive it as the ecu may becoe affected then thousands of pounds!!!
but surely the ECU is designed to cope with this as a possibly fault :?:
Can't see how bad fuel can break an electronic brain ;-) All bad fuel can do is break the sensors in the exhaust. It appears to be affecting french cars more than anything else however....
Just think if they wont run on this so-called bad fuel how are these vehicles going to manage in third world countries?
Hey, just a thought!!!!!Maybe its Al Qaeda!!!!!
Looks like the problem is silicon.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6409025.stm
