It depends on the combustion process. Carbon and Hydrogen react with the constituents of air, mostly oxegen and Nitrogen isn't it?
Hydrogen oxidises to water, can't egt greaner than that can you :D . thre's more Hydrogen in LPG which is why it steams a bit and keeps your engine clean.
Anyway, carbon oxidises to carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide, depending on a few things, like air/fuel ratio for one, combustion temp for another. A rich mix results in more CO
