well after nearly 4 hours on the phone problem sorted...
They had canceled my broadband and put me on pay as you use which I hadnt used so they had then decided in there wisdom to cancel my whole account.
Upshot is though after complaining and thretening to cancel my account I'm getting a £5 a month discount on my package and a free BT home hub jobby
Plus I managed to cook me tea while on hold to with BT...
Not much of a feat you may say buit considering I made ...sausage(x2)...egg...mushroom ...fried bread...tomatoes...and chips(from real potatoes)

Oh and fpound out that if you have ANY BT customer service issue and dont want to speak with umpah lumpah land call centre ask for UK TRANSFERS to get to speak to someone in the UK call centre

call um back if I was you Alan...ask for the UK TRANSFERS team as mentioned above.
I got to speak to some numb nut in (lets keep this bit PC) an "offshore call centre" they called it and was told the same thing at first
When I did eventualy get to speak to someone in UK they told me there was no problem with service they knew of.
I told the guy I thought the "offshore" customer service was quite frankly piddle poor(you get the idea)and he laughed and said they get more people leaving for that reason than just about anything else.

Begs the question then if it causes so many problems why use a foregn call centre  :?:  :?:  :?:

they never mentioned anything about the phone so will wait and see.
I'll be calling them tomorrow anyhow to confirm they are sorting everything out and I'll also be seeing if I can get some money back for the incompetence

I had problems getting emails last weekend and accessing the tinternet and rung BT INDIA,after 3/4 hours they turned round and told me it was my computer at fault.I pointed out that my landline and two wireless connections had ALL gone down so it couldn't be my computer-people who use BT INDIA will probably know what's coming next-yes strangely the phone goes dead ie:-they put the phone down  . As informed by my good lady wife i leave it for half an hour and have a cup of tea(she knows one thing i don't like is people putting the phone down on me),something to do with red mist and blood pressure (alot higher than tyre pressure). Outcome is i sat down and did a reset of my wireless router 2091 and hey presto it has worked fine since, went upstairs and did a reset on both laptops and they also have worked all week with no problems,so me who knows NOTHING about computers works better than paid employees of BT INDIA.

NEWSFLASH.....NEWSFLASH....NEWSFLASH
well it looks like I spoke too soon....
Came home today to find out BT have now also seen fit to cancel my direct debit for my land line so I now have an unpaid bill on top of all there other screw ups.

So have just spent yet ANOTHER 2 hours on the phone trying to get that sorted :!:  :!:  :!:
Again same story really...getting passed from pillar to post with out anything actualy being resolved but the upshot is now that have been promised a callback from supervisor about issues with land line on Monday(took all the agents details and his name etc who promised this even though he was rather reluctant to do this ... I cant think why)
Also been promised a callback from the customer relations team to get my MAC code issued to cancel BT broadband account ...again took all the agents details just in case it doesnt happen(it took me 10 minutes to actualy get the numpty to give me his name and a ref number for the call)...I'm not holding my breath on the callbacks but watch this space...
The story continues
