throttle cable conversion

like to remove the worn out linkages from my 2a and replace with a throttle cable.
anyone done this?
is it easy?

what parts would i need?

I havent but it sounds like a good idea. I may try it myself on my special rebuild.
If it aint broke , brake it  so you can mend it.

got a series 3 with a defender 2.5 petrol in

got to order a new cable from them due to mine snapping, and now being held together by Cable ties still holding after 2 weeks not bad
but looking at there web site looks like there make up what ever cable you need

my defender bulkhead had the accelerator pedel already on, so just used the throttle cable that came with the V8 8)
