Electric Windwos (Rear)
« on: March 03, 2007, 20:11:04 »
HI

300TDI M Reg.

Elevtric windows do not work in rear. Fuses OK. checked the isolation switch (safety switch) and cleaned.

Stopped working last week.

Both sides so must not be in the doors, I reckon.

Any advice out there.

Thanks

Duncan

Common fault is dry joints in the Window lift ECU. http://www.discoweb.org/window/index.htm

Have you tried the switches in the console and on the doors?

Not hit the 'lock off switch' by mistake?

I have checked all the switches and all seem to fine. As both windows seem to have failed it makes me think it is not the switches.

Thanks for the ECU guide.

Will look when it is light again.

IIRc the rear windows have their own fuse.
