Oh, I see. What a pain in the ar5e for you. I hope you're up and running again soon.

As you say about the FMJ - perhaps physical prevention of driving the car might be the best solution, but such a pain to do and undo.
If at first you don't succeed...  cheat.

Ben,

I can recommend NavTrak ADR ..... The service is excellent, sometimes I expect to see them at the end of the night ready to tuck me in!

Such a pain yes, but surely getting your motor nicked is an even bigger pain!

Go the whole hog and put a discloc on as well.
Unpassable you say?!

Good to see that they found it, great news, I hope there is not too much wrong with the car but take it to a garage you trust or yourself and give it a really good inspection. I had a sierra xr4x4 that got nicked and the transfer box was knackered, insurance co tried telling me it was already broke before it was nicked. after a lot of investigation it turned out the recovery co the police used only had spec lifts on thier trucks and they towed the car with the front wheels strapped on and the back ones on the ground, not good for an all wheel drive car!

ANyway, onto the subject of trackers. Not as accurate as a tracker but a lot cheaper and expandable.
An old mobile phone, hands free kit and some imagination. You can track its location using a site like this one http://www.traceamobile.co.uk/, it will have its own built in battery back up and as long as its a new sim that no-one knows the number of so you dont get unexpected calls you can set the hands free kit to immobilize the car by phoning it!!! Just wire up the radio mute wire to a relay and it can cut ignition, fuel pump etc. You could even tell the thieving scum what you think of them from the comfort of your own home or leave the phone to auto answer and leave it on silent and you can listen it to whats going on in the car!
   I should patent this idea!

GLAD YOU GOT IT BACK

PEOPLE THAT GO AROUND NICKING PEOPLES CARS
WHEN CAUGHT SHOULD BE GIVEN THE HOSE PIPE AND BARDED WIRE
TREAMENT!!!!!
THATS WHERE YOU GET A SHORT LENTH OF GARDEN HOSE/BARBED WIRE. [RAZOR WIRE HAS BEST RESULTS]
SLIDE THE WIRE INTO THE HOSE
THEN SLIDE BOTH INTO A CERTAIN ORIFICE
THEN REMOVE THE HOSE LEAVING THE WIRE IN PLACE.
THEY WILL NOT BE NICKING CARS AS YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN TO DRIVE!!!!!

Is the Full Metal Jacket the orange thing over the pedals?

If so I've got four, no not for sale but I can recomend them, also uselful for clouting thieveing scrotes if you catch them in the act.

Easy to fit and remove but pretty secure, even if you could pick the lock you can hardly get to it when it's fitted as it's to the left of the clutch pedal.

I also have a Disclock on each car, my driveway is gravel and if a mouse farts in my yard the dogs know about it.

I'm also sinking posts into the end of the drive.

Hi RRB

That sounds like the one. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get yours from? I've only found one place that does them, and it's not as local as I'd hoped!

Cheers

I'm sure Kenson 4x4 sell them....
Or buy from the people who make them -

I could get one for you and post it up if needed - is only round the corner from my misses' flat.
