spigot bush and crank seal.....should I..?
« on: March 05, 2007, 19:07:56 »
Have decided to take the G/Box out and fit a new clutch. I have seen it recommended that a new spigot bush should go in, well what do you all reckon...?....should I leave it or change it?.....is it right that if I fit a new one I may have to ream out for it to fit exactly?

same sort of question with the seal, if its all dry inside when I take the box out would you leave well alone or would you change this seal while the box is out?  oh.....decisions decisions.....!

Personally I wouldn't as I'm on a budget but I always get it wrong so you might as well do it.

If you have luck like mine, it'll leak if you don't replace it and be a huge job if you do! Not much help am I.  :x

What engine is it? If it's a V8, then the rear main bearing cap has to be removed to fit the seal.
