« on: March 07, 2007, 12:43:11 »
I have a 1990 RRC auto. & am starting it's spring service.  The workshop manuel says ATF for the transfer box & Haynes says 90, which one is right?

Looking at the Workshop manual, upto 1989 the transfer box uses EP90 and from 1990 - 1995 it uses ATF.
I think I would drain the transfer box and see what comes out or phone Ashcrofts and see what they say.

If it's an LT230 and has a manual diff lock then it's EP90

If it's a Borg-Warner with Viscous diff then it's ATF
