Trouble starting
« on: March 13, 2007, 13:40:04 »
Hi, My vit wont start, I put a new (from E-Bay) Starter motor on and it then worked fine!

Then It stopped completely as the battery was completely flat. 1 new battery later it started again for the duration of 1 afternoon. Now wont start again even after charging the battery!

Any Ideas are welcome!

The alternater seems to work fine once i've bump started it and I have charged the battery anyway! The leads are all tight, and when I turn the key the ignition lights dim, so the power is going somewhere! but i dont even get a click from the strarter!

Running is not a problem since fitting a new alternator. It just wont start even on a fully charged battery and jump leads! Is there any way to check the solenoid???
