springs, which way up ??

Just about to fit some new springs and have noticed that they seem to be coiled closer together at one end. do they go any particular way round ??

I think the tighter coils go towards the top put im sure someone will come along and veryfy this

They can go either way but Land Rover fit the tighter coils at the top as it stops them retaining mud and water like they would the other way up.

They're called "progressive" springs BTW.  :wink:
