It's Snowing!!!
« on: November 18, 2004, 17:33:25 »
So who's got snow, and who hasn't yet?

Apparently there's snow just south of Manchester, and there's some falling (although not settling) here on Pride Park in Derby.

Typical - 90's not yet back on the road, and the snow starts  :(

Here's hoping the M1's not too bad - haven't left work yet, and I've got to go from j25 to j28 tonight...

Cheers

It's snowing in Nottingham nr J26.
I doubt it'll be a problem with the rain we've had unless it freezes.

Not too worried about the snow - it's the other muppets on the road that concern me - when there's snow, they all magically appear on the M1!!!

Surprisingly, i've had no snow being all the way down here. Got to wait til jan/feb before it's properly cold. But fingers crossed.

I want it to snow loads this year, so that i can justify my car to all those that believe it's over the top.

Not fair!   :(

Here I am at the foot of the North Yorkshire Moors, and nothing but rain.

Hopefully there'll be plenty of snow on my next shift at LQ.  It's not an open day, a major 'panese car maker has hired the site for a week to launch their new 4x4 vehicle.   :D

All we've had here is sleet.
Geographically (& meteorologically) speaking Bradford usually stops it all before we get it.

Heard that the A66 had been closed this morning.

From the old house we could see straight across to Holm-Moss (the BBC transmitter to the south of Holmfirth), but now I've got to open the velux in the attic to see it - which is to say I don't know if there's any snow up there (yet)

Just got home from work and as I pulled up it stopped snowing. about half inch of settled snow on everything but the roads and pavements.

Its sort of going to be annoying if it starts again and school getys a snow day as we did evening training to get the a damn inset day off!

snow not only in the city of Irchester but now it's twin city of Raunds too! Nearly went ar*e over t*t though as I stepped outside the back door to check the thermometer. Dropped 5 degrees in an hour. Will probably be gone by morning though as mines in for it's MOT. Yippee. Off roading at the weekend. Anyone doing likewise in this area? All dressed up with a new MOT and nowhere to go....

Snow in Manchester City Centre late afternoon. Much more snow on my way back into Glossop. Vehicles coming off the Woodhead Pass were all white. Got home near Saddleworth and started to empty car of Land Rover bits and bobs in the snow. So yes its snowing up here :D

Too right, that's why I take the Rangie out when it's snowing, except of course it always starts when I'm on a lesson, so I have to get home in the Micra first 8-[
