Slow starting V8 Disco
« on: March 20, 2007, 19:33:01 »
Hi

My 3.5v8 disco always used to start with the 1st turn of the key, over the last couple of weeks it has started to take a few attempts to get her started. Tonight it woudn't start and the battery has gone flat trying.

Anybody got any ideas what the problem might be, and where I should start looking

Thanks in advance

Steve  :D

check to see if your getting a spark to start with.

but could be a number of things, a breakdown on the ignition somewere coils dizy etc, timing could have sliped or even a fuel problem..

Might be damp in the distributor cap, give it a spray of WD and give it a wipe inside.
