Oh wow .... need to check, but is that NEW Band G cars?

hahahahaha I am band F :-) .. my mate who has the SAME spec vehicle had his registered after 23rd March is band G ... and has to pay £300.

This is A FARCE. How can two identical vehicles be rated differently depending on their registration date???????

LPG doesn't matter, it still has petrol so it will fall into Band F or G.

As I read band G is only vehicles registered after 2006.

The real hit of these isn't going to come in for 5-10 years when today's spanking new Discovery 3 is worth nothing because people don't want to pay the duty.

Hi

having just phoned the poor guys at DVLA - my1999 4 litre V8 will go up by £5 next tax time

watched some bloke on skynews being interviewed by the blonde bimbo about the tax on vehicles - he made some very good points and all she kept going on about was gas guzzling 4wds - he let her know that they were not the worst on the road for emissions - she obviously did not get his point

regards

ela
Sonar - DII V8 now become a toy
Pugsley (peugeot 407) now sitting dead in a garage workshop, being replaced by Yeti the kia carens!
Bagheera - geoff's new(ish) car - a black jaguar!
love is....a husband who is prepared to put petrol in his wife's V8 without flinching - now has admitted to flinching occasionally

How do you know which Band your vehicle is in ??

The V5 for my Disco has a CO2 value of 284g/km - so I guess that has to be band F, but the V5 for the 110 has no CO2 figure (it's currently taxed as a light goods vehicle)
