:D:D I wondered how long it'd take for you to come back on that :D you gotta remember it's got all the nasty jobs done, Infact it'snow a minter so go for the stupid end price of the book :) 4 - 4.5k dont sound too bad.  But dont go daft or you'll have to pay an arm and a leg in insurance.  Roll on the MOT :)

it's not that bad here...

300 nikker with an agreed evaluation , not bad.
thing is its the engine that lets it down , everything else is pretty much brand new. i reckon 31/2 - 4 k then when i replace the engine i might push the boat out a bit further.
yeah i like it here , look , you can say dick without getting banned. :D

Over valuing it wont get you anywhere as they wont agree, you will need to provide proof of its value (independant report) and photos before they agree to anything and their is no guarentee they will as they wont insure it for silly ammounts if its worth peanuts (for example)

That's the point of an agreed value policy though, you submit your valuation (with evidence to back it up) and they state whether they agree to it (or not). Then each year you submit more evidence (report, photos, reciepts etc) and state what you consider the value to now be.
I have had an agreed valuation policy with Lancaster for about 7-years now and am quite happy with it. They have a copy of all the work carried out on the vehicle over the years and the value has not dropped anything like as fast as it might on a normal policy. I must admit I am going to be looking for another insurer this year, not becuase they are asking too much but as I have had this agreed value policy for some time and it gives piece of mind there has been less temptation to shop around like I used to.

Er yes, that's what i said, you have to prove its worth what you say, then if they agree thats what you get in total loss situation. Over valuing will only get you trouble tho because they are not stupid, and when it comes to paying out money insurance companies are tight [!Expletive Deleted!]!
