Help me crush my Range Rover
« on: March 24, 2007, 14:40:47 »
No - I haven't taken leave of my senses
Does anyone remember this post by someone called (I think ) Hamster, who was wanting all Landie owners to chip in and help pay him to crush his rangie ?
Just wondering if there ever was any conclusion to the story or if it was all a great big wind up

Better keep our eyes open for a "help me crush my Porche" thread on the Porche sites then !
Maybe he would get more sympathy there

Hey!
It took 7 months of fighting (and being without the car), but they cashed it out! (well the finance broker got me out of it and lombard came to the party). Cost £14K in legals

The porsche did break down, but it wasnt just the breaking down - it was the way they treated me.

just FYI - i had to take the Rangie back for 3 weeks so I could part x it (got £55K trade). he gearbox still clunked, and the dealer had taken bits out of it (phone cradle, etc).

Wasnt a leg pulling execise, it was an awareness exercise. Oh,and I ended up with over £15k pledged to destroy it...but then I might have had 100 [!Expletive Deleted!] off land Rover owners after my blood!

You must be glad its all over Hamster
Pity about the £14k hit for legal fines mind !
Couldn't really decide whether it was a mickey take or not - but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt now
Best of luck with your next motor and I hope it won't put you off Landies for life
