Another MOT question

Will a stone chip in a headlight fail the MOT? i have checked here http://www.ukmot.com/1-2.asp and still not sure?

Not an expert but I don't think it would if the beam hasn't been effected in any way.
Best thing to do is call an MOT tester and ask them :wink:

A chip wont make it fail mot, a chip or crack that changes the beam pattern will as said, also if the chip has let water or moisture in and effected the reflective surface of the chrome will fail

If you headlight fills with water, empty it before you take it in, as it will fail if it looks like a goldfish bowl

 :? often looks like that recently, getting used to emptying it out. The moisture buildup i thought may be an issue, if i don't get a new one in time i will have to ensure its dried out and risk it i guess.

Check for sharp edges as well, if they find a sharp one then they'll fail it
