It's common when they start to seize up.  Time to fix them before they let go in a big way

Hello there,
I've got a similar bugie under my bonnet.
I seem to think that it is the water pump,
it is worse when accelerating,
that is when the bearings are under most load,
so I'm looking around the fan belt area,
water pump or alternator etc.
Just thought you might want to look there if the new UJ's don't do the job.

cheers......................

I had similar problem with mine...Turned out to be the front prop UJs...How did I know....It snapped on the M6 while driving back from Scotland....350 miles from home and towing a trailer tent

Thank god for the RAC  :)

ROn, if yours is squeeking around the belts have you checked it's not the belt itself (washing up liquid)?

Do you have airconn? if not a lot of people run the water pump belt loose on a V8 to make the water pump last longer, check it's not too loose.

DO you still have the original viscous fan fitted?
