coolant leak disco 300tdi
« on: April 08, 2007, 19:43:45 »
discovered that there is a fairly significant leak that looks like it could be coming from the water pump, or somewhere around there.

1. is this likely to be a seal / gasket or something more serious.

2. how easy is this to sort ?

My technical knowledge is limited so any advise and guidane much appreciated.

I have the same issue, and very tight behind fan cover to see where leek is coming from. By the the squeaks coming from around my water pump area i would say its the pump on mine (has same issue on my 90) but don't want to start replacing bits until i know for sure (went down that road on the 90 :(  ) If i remember correctly from the 90, the bearings went in the pump, and you could wiggle the fan belt wheel, the fan belt is a bit more tricky on the 300TDI than the 2.5NA to start fiddle with at the moment though
