UNIMOG HANDBOOK ??
« on: November 24, 2004, 23:50:07 »
Hi all.
A mate of mine has a Unimog he needs a handbook for.

He purchased it from Ashton Down military auction a few years ago.
The plates are "J" reg on the truck, and it is a S.W.B. with dropsides.
It has a 10 ton Boughton ( or Broughton ) hydraulic winch fitted to the front and the rear of the vehicle.
It has a full external roll over bar fitted, along with acetelyne cutting equipment, a large generator, ladders, and all manner of recovery equipment stored in the rear body.
The reason he needs a book is that he has a problem with one of the 4 heaters fitted to the vehicle.

As it came from the Swiss army, it even has a heater in the fuel lines and tank,to aid those cold starts on frosty mornings.

This is a working vehicle, used to recover cars that have been driven off-road in to the ponds and fields by the less honest people of this world.

Any help or assistance would be welcome.

Cheers,

SPIKE.

p.s. It's L.H.D., and has 3 Eberspacher truck type night heaters in it.

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
