General Notice and Code of Conduct
« on: April 15, 2007, 23:47:52 »
There has been a recent spate of members, who are either close friends, former friends, or people that have at least met each other using the forums to re-enact personal vendettas or generally have a go at each other.

A polite warning,  this stops,  now.   I appreciate you will all be convinced that you're correct, and that any acts of moderation are clearly targeted against you.  However I would like to point out that we have close to a thousand posts a day to read and moderate and the admin team are getting sick and tired of having to defend their actions.

We do not wish to enter into a personal argument,  if there is someone on the forum you really really really do not like, stop baiting them, and if you're one of the people that is being bated, for the love of whichever deity you consider more worthwhile than another stop rising to the bait.

There you go, rant over ...  Now please can we go back to acting like adults ?

<JOKE> Daz, you spoil-sport     <JOKE>

I totally agree with what you're saying here. The problem is not the two that start any debate, it's the people that come in half way through and think they know all the facts that cause the most damage.

If two members have an issue, please let them sort it out between themselves or let them ask for someone they both trust to mediate. It's the only fair way to go.

The worst of it is that it's usually all over nothing much   I tend to just stay out of it normally and let it blow over. But I can see how the moderators can get fed up with it.

Fortunately, it doesn't seem to happen too often. Please, let's keep it that way.

And what exactly makes you think that these people listen to us ?

In reference to the complaint you raised if you'd seen some of the mails exchanged by all parties you might have a slightly different opinion of matters, and perhaps some members.

There is always the option that if you have a problem with something someone has said, or is in need of winding their neck in, you could always ask them yourself.
