Just booked my bike test. Update: I passed!
« on: April 17, 2007, 19:34:13 »
I just booked my Direct Access course (straight to full big bike licence). I'm doing a 4 day course including CBT and test (I've already passed my theory). First session is this Saturday, then next Sat and Sunday then test on Monday. The centre normally have a 4 wek waiting list, but someone canceled, so I got lucky.

Hopefully, once I've passed, I'll have a bike on the way (I'm after a Suzuki SV650).

Wish me luck guys.  :D

Good one .It will open up a new world for you ,be warned evey one becomes your enermy on the road and you will start to notice bad driving more.
What bike you looking at getting.Don't get anything smaller than a 600cc as you will get fed up with it fast.

I notice quite a lot of bad driving as it is already (some people don't seem to realise how much damadge 2 tons of Land Rover could do to their Eurobox.  I know what you mean though. It should make me a lot more observant when driving too)

Great decision, I did a DAC in 06 and I am really enjoying being back on 2 wheels (when the sun shines that is). Good luck for the test, just try to stay cool and not let yourself get flustered if small things go wrong as they always do.

Thanks though.

As soon as I pass, I'll let you know.

Hopefully I'll have a bike by then too (then it's playtime)

I passed my bike Test, 4 years ago now .....  they should make all car drivers do the CBT too, so they are well aware of the dangers of not looking in their mirrors, when driving their cars!!!!!

I did mine 25 years ago when you passed on a 125 then went and got a
kwak 1000.
no such thing as lessons, you got a 125 and went out and tought yourself
and the examiner did'nt follow you on a bike.he stood at the side of the road and watched you ride passed then he ran to somewere else.
good luck
