Winch and Bumper
« on: November 29, 2004, 14:23:49 »
Am looking at getting a winch and was hoping someone could tell me if I have to get a winch bumper or will it bolt onto a standard Series 3 bumper.i.e. is the standard bumper strong enough to stand it. :?

The standard bumber isn't strong enough.

On a Series 3, you don't actually need to replace the bumper.  You can get a winch mount which sits in the recess between the wings and bolts to the chassis.  (You need to remove the valance if you have one)

Hope that helps.
