Spare wheel spacers?
« on: April 27, 2007, 16:19:39 »
OK the off road mods have started!  Some 265 MTs going on soon, looks like fairly minimal car butchery needed, although according to the sticky I gather I need a spacer for the spare wheel

Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Thanks!!

Yeah the tyre is so wide it hits the rear door before the rim has bottomed out on the carrier studs - just get another 3 steel wheel type nuts and pop them on the carrier studs done up nice and tight, then pop the wheel on and do it up - mind you this will only work if you have steel wheels or use steel type nuts with an alloy wheel..............  AFAIR........
Son, life has a habit of kicking you in the ass and i only have vague recollections of when it wasn't kickin mine!
