ProComp Shocks + Springs

Right, as you may or may not know i have just bought a Vitara.

Its got the procomp 2" lift, on the front it is fine however on the rear it is very very hard, i would have thought that for off roading they would make it soft. If i go over a speed bump at any more than 2mph it kills me!

I now know that one of the shocks isnt a procomp but a brand new normal one, would this make the difference.

I have heard that you can put astra shocks on or something?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I thought astra shocks were used on SJ's and Sammy when you did a spring lift though i may be wrong.

The spring are stiffer,for good reason,according to Procomps website if they were softer with the additional height it would slop about like a jelly.Sometimes the springs do take a little time to bed in.

Daewoo Nexia/Vaux Astra rear shocks - awesome, especially at about £30 for a pair!!  :D  :D  :D  :D

They'll fit the rear on Vits and the front on SJ.  To fit on the rear of SJ's you need to relocate the top mounts :)

Yes, the Nexia shocks bolt straight onto the rear of Vitaras if you have a 2" or greater suspension lift - otherwise they are a bit too long :)

You'll need 2 new bolts for the bottom mounts as the Suzuki bolts are to fat to fit through the holes on the Nexia shocks :)

I have a pair of Nexia shocks sitting in my garage (with new bolts) just waiting for me to fit them.  The Calmini ones are a bit stiff too  :)

can u confirm ur lift kit is 2"?? as far as im aware pro-comp only do a 1.5" lift kit calmini do a 2" and 3" kit

THe bloke said it was a 2" and i must admit it is pretty high, not sure how i can find out for sure though, any pointers otherwise i have been mugged off lol!
