CAN ANYONE SUGGEST THE BEST WAY TO GET AN AIR LOCK OUT OF MY 300 TDI COOLING SYSTEM CHEERS.....

Don't know the correct way but i found this works well leave the header tank cap on fill the rad through the plastic bung then top up the thermostat housing bung lock down and then check the level in the tank hope this helps?? :?  :?

I think it says something similar to that in the manual
If theres a harder way to do it I`ll find it!!

Cut out the middle man - leave the expansion tank cap on, fill the system at the thermostat housing bung till its at the bottom of the threads or higher - any excess will either spill out as you tighten the bung or get forced into the header tank....  Then with the bung done up tight check the level in the expansion tank.  Job done - works for me and I've emptied/re-filled my coolant so many times lately I've lost count......
Son, life has a habit of kicking you in the ass and i only have vague recollections of when it wasn't kickin mine!
