If i was to tow my SJ with an A Frame does it need to be tax and tested ?

Also unless you are recovering a vehicle which has broken down A Frames are illegal if towing more than 750kg Gross weight. Your SJ weighs more than this so you can't tow it with an A frame anyway.

damn that has ruined my plans, why are there so many on fleebay which will tow 2.5t etc if they are illegal. Trailers are just to expensive!
i tow with a dolly and not a A-frame which when i checked with the dvla is ok as not all wheels are in contact with the ground. suject to the towing wehicle that is.
