:? I have been offered a set of unimog portal axles to use put my 90, but will they fit easily
Is there modification needed to the axle or my chassis?
1984 90 Truck Cab.
3.5 v8
scorpion sliders , steering guard , qt diff guards
Tank guard , k&n filters , pro comp 2" lift
Light bar , scorpion cubby box

2006 BMW X3 , 2.0 Diesel
Leather Seats, 18" Alloy wheels
Tow Pack

1999 Mitsubushi L200 pick up , 2.5 tdi
Metallic green , New Bullbar
Colway mud terrains

1999 Yamaha 350 Big Bear
2" High lifter kit, front superwinch,
Ring spots,Piaa headlight bulbs,

I would suspect the answer to that question is a definite yes.

The suspension components are different between the two vehicles, so you will need to make the two bits compatible.

How would i make them compatable ?
Replicate the landrover mounts onto the mog axles?

Mmmmm.... Portal axles, Marge....

I've always assumed you need to do something clever to stop the torque effect of the portal part from twisting the axle.  There are a few LRs out there with portal axles, including a Disco somewhere in the UK, but I've never looked close enough to suss it out.

Keep us posted, this sounds an interesting project.

That site gave interesting reading.

I will collect them and figure it out.

I also found an old mog sitting in a field about 5 mile from me.
The farmer who owns it said he might sell it if the whole thing
was bought not just the axles.

Anyone interested?

Hello,
where in the country is it, as i need a new project to play with.
I think the rear axle would be easyer to fit with front radius arms, and a panard rod, rather than the A frame, and just look at that welding, the axle must have been like a banana when they finished. :?
