was feeling confident...
went home from school... sat down, opend a couple of beers (cheers Lord shagg pyle - those beers you gave me ages ago were delicious!) packet of crisps (treat for me) and watch the play offs - it was all going so well for us (saints) then the dreadded penalties.
i HATE derby FC dirty dirty dirty rotten bunch of ||||EXPLETIVE DELETED|||||
we went out on penalties 5-4.
not happy.
what a way to loose penalties... i feel robbed.

Team A aren't good enough to beat Team B in the time given, plus extra, then penalties. Hardly Team Bs fault for being the better side (simple fact - they won, Team A didn't)?  :-s

It's a game, thats all. There's more important things in life to get stressed over, dude.   8)

FWIW, I know another Saints fan who's also going ape about now!  :lol:

its not that we wernt good enough we were, we were up on the night, and we were away too... so we were at a disadvantage but we still won on the night, but it was a draw on aggregate.

Like pretty much everything round Soton, a mediocre effort by a mediocre team.

I've been asked by my colleague to point out that, unlike many teams in the Premiership, Soton did once win the FA Cup.  8)

Oddly, when I pointed out the use of his word 'once', he kinda went ape again!  :lol:

I think he's having a bad week!
