Bought One!
« on: May 26, 2007, 18:52:54 »
We went across to the local LR dealership fully intending to have a look at a good value Disco that I'd seen on Auto Trader, and came away having bought something totally different...

The problem with the Disco was access into the rear seats. We weren't happy with how easy it was going to be for adults to get in and out. We give lifts to Sarah's grandparents fairly regularly, and there was no way that they were going to be able to get in and out.

So, we've bought a Freelander instead. It's a td4 with command shift (the auto one!). It's a lovely Alveston Red, and comes with the full LR dealer warranty. It's an '02 plate, and has done 44,500 miles.

Should be picking it up a week on Monday... So, I'll be off to Mantec for some bits of metal soon :D

I agree - silver is a great colour for the facelift!

I hope it will get muddy!  :D

Wow, a Land Rover without depressingly bad economy!  I've not had a Freebie but I've been laning with them in the past and I've been quite impressed.  In fact I'd quite like one if the truth be told.  Maybe I should get a 3-door with the opening back, and I could convince myself I had a convertible...

Good choice, hope it gives you lots of happy memories.

What are the topless ones like?  Do people go au naturelle very often?  Are they secure with the roof off?

i take my top off as often as possible

Its only 4 clips and it comes off and I love it. Mine is a little unsecure atm because it doesnt have the parcel shelf or the dog guard but the alarm system does still work on the cabin  :D
