Possible New Addition to The Family
« on: June 01, 2007, 17:22:27 »
Just thought I'd mention it, to confirm to all those that suspected I'm mad.

With any luck I'll be picking up a 6 month old female Siberian Husky tomorrow. Pics will follow when we get her home. Just a few niggles that are making it only a possibility right now, like what they do to gardens and cats :)
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Sorry to say but if it's never been around cats it could be dinner  :(
It should be fine with the garden in fact it will prob want to spend most of it's time out there as they don't like the heat at all ! Getting them clipped in the summer can make them happier all be it they look a bit like a shepard
I don't suffer insaity ! I enjoy it !!!

I wouldn't worry about the cat..... or the garden either for that matter. I found if you feed a dog rich food.... it kills the grass when it pees. That all-in-one dried food that they feed hunting/working dogs on is pretty well balanced. Comes in massive sacks from all good farm supply outlets, doesnt cost much either.
Cant wait to see the pics.

We dont have a cat, it was on a list of possible things we might get. The Degus will be kept well out of harms way too. Bold on the office door as I know the little [!Expletive Deleted!] can open most doors.

Here's her pic in the ad :

Very nice looker(the dog  ) It's got that wolf look which it should have, some don't ie the pure whites. Is it from a pure sledge dog racing line ? because every 4 to 5 lines down a wolf is bread in to make the line pure & the ofspring are very strong willed

Shes a domestic bred dog. Ok she's not going to be any less of a pain in the backside but my parents older border collie is working stock and man is he a handful :)

Parents used to get through a sofa a month at one point :) Wouldnt think it to look at him but this dog is a spawn of satan! :

Well the first week has gone and she seems to be settling in. Had a few toilet issues but that seems to be working out :)

Here she is:

I tied my 3 Jack Russell's to the sledge a few years ago ( when they were younger ) & took the kids out, they loved it & so did the kids :D  :D  :D  8)  8)
