I went in the other to get some coach line to make up some trible graffix's for my truck. I got asked "whats that" after telling the bright spark I got told they would have to order it in, so out I went & looked else where
I don't suffer insaity ! I enjoy it !!!

It's not so odd when you find out why Keri.  Every Halfords store appears to be independent of each other and independent of the Halfords website.  So what the website may say could mean different at the shop!

the guy i spoke to didn't know what a diesel injector kit was. I required the hardened socket that came with it. but have since solved that problem.

The people that work in Halfords don't have a clue unless you walk in there with a wad of cash in your outstretched arm, and say

you cant call halfords a parts shop anymore, its more of an accessories shop now...

I think its called "Outdoor World" now

There is one on the trading estate opposite my works, so its handy for some bits and bobs.

I got thinking last month and went in with a hand full of receipts from Halfords and other motor factors and asked for a trade card.

Within 5 minutes I had one  :D  they didn't even check if I was a garage owner or high use customer or look at the receipts.

So now most things I get are at the very least a third cheaper  :D  with th Trade Card.
Thank goodness for staff that are on the ball

Whilst I don't buy parts at halfords their pro range of tools are excellent, lifetime guarantee, just like snap on but without snap ons prices and they do honour the guarantee without any problems too.

Halfords!!!

I went into my Local Halfords branch for some wiper blades for the Zuk as usual there were about 8 different types so I asked the zitty faced lad behind the counter for help... no problem, I then recognised him as a local lad I had given a Section 59 notice 3 days before for doing doughnuts in a car park!
yep you got it he gave me the wrong size & wrong fitting    I went back and we had a friendly chat about "professionalism"

Oh yes my colleagues seized his car a few days later for doing more doughnuts!

went in to one a while back and asked for some BP5HS spark plugs they ask what vehicle it's for, landrover 101 says I, you won't find it on your computer, but I Know they're BP5HS, so he tells me the numbering system's changed, err, no it hasn't, eventually find some and they want a couple of quid each, so I go round the corner to a motor factor and get them for 95 pence each.

They had one on the shelf for my 2.25 diesel!  Can't remember the price but I'm sure I could have done better, however it wasn't earth shattering and I'd been meaning to carry a spare for years, now I do!  I'd happily drive without an altinator or engine fan but not the waterpump!

i brought my son (then about 10) a mountain bike from them 2 years ago
of course, it broke, took it back only to be told that he shouldnt be riding down mountains on it or it will break
told them he is 10 and he hadnt been doing anything like that
after a few heated words with the saleman he offered to take me out the back door to sort it out
so i said , no lets go out the front so all your customers can see what your guarantee is like
he didnt take me up on the offer (shame)
but i did get a official letter from there head office banning me from the store  :D
