We had a woman in work today with this as a spare! I have seen some pretty bad tyres in my time but none this bad..
It was a semperit which I am not 100% sure but I belive may be a company owned by continental!
The pictures dont do it justice either, it looked just as bad without air in it!

Serious delam! On removal from the spare wheel well it was at 32 psi. Maybe it was well over inflated before hand, who knows! Still its pretty nasty!
She had bought the car with that spare in the boot so she hadnt removed it. We found it whilst checking the spare as part of a service. Surely any normal driver would have felt that a long time before it got to that state! I have had small "eggs" in tyres before now and noticed them by the feel of the ride, they have been absolutely nowhere near that state though.

Having seen that I feel a whole lot better for having ordered £500 worth of new boots for the 110 before we go to France and Spain touring. It smarts at the time of ordering but I'm gad I did now.

Years ago I seen the same thing happen to Dunlop's which were fitted to brand new Rover 200's, the tread was pulling away from the steel belts.
