Any one got Cooper STT's?
« on: June 07, 2007, 21:30:21 »
I need to know if they are tubeless. I've ordered a set but apparently learned since that as the Landy wheels are riveted that they require tubes.

I've checked the wheels and they are indeed riveted but is this right that they need tubes?

If any one has got Cooper STT's with tubes could you let me know please.

yep had rivets, but welded inside late s3 -- 90/110 production. can't find link atm but you can tell by rim shape if old type (non-welded) or newer welded. maybe try series 2 club i'm sure they can tell you.

Cheers chaps - thats reassuring - the company who I have ordered off called back today to say they can't get any imported in to the UK until 31st July at the earliest

I then mentioned taking my business elsewhere and suddenly they can get the Yokohama Geolandar in in a few days which was actually my first choice but they said weeks initially - I'm not holding my breath mind.

What is the concensus on the STT - I'm thinking of buying them for my Land Cruiser when I get it.

I've been running BFG A/T on the Pajero, but I'm reliably informed that the ones sold here in Greece are manufactured in Turkey and are not as good as the ones sold in the UK.

I run STT's on my surf, a little road noise but bearable, fantastic off road.

I had BFG MT's and now got the Cooper STT's and very pleased with them, if you want standard sizes you can get them quite easily - for 33's and above then it's import I think.  :)
