Are any of the intake hoses between the exhaust of the compressor side of the turbo and the intake manifold?

Check for signs of black smoke comingout of the back, especially under acceleration.

If there is a lot, then there is probably something restricting airflow,  which could be the air filter, intercooler, turbo ..

Checked any fuel filters?
Can you hear the fuel pump priming/running?

If the engine is fine out of gear, perhaps there is something in the drivetrain causing massive drag.   Does it roll ok, no brakes locked on etc?

Fuel filter would be an early try, followed by checking the lift pump, the injector pump can pull some fuel through when not under load, but wont let you rev up

Changed one on a 300, cost £17 from paddocks, try loosening the pipe on top of the filter and using the hand primer to see if it actually is pumping

One common item people forget is the sediment filter or water trap as its sometimes called situated forward of the tank underneath, hardly ever gets touched, you can bypass it with some fuel hose and clips

Good luck
