digicam ! which one
« on: July 01, 2007, 10:14:34 »
I am thinking og getting a digicam, but know nothing about them.

I want something that will be suitable for recording general off roading, can be used in and out of the truck, easy to use and even easier to upload the recording.
I have seen some 3.1Mp cameras on e bay going for £40 but guess 3.1 is the bottom end of the scale.
Price wise i was looking to part with £150ish for either a new one or secondhand.

Can anyone recomend one?

Heres one i was looking at

I use the Sony Handycam TRV265E with the DV tapes rather than a card. You get loads more filiming time and it has nightvision, USB & Firewire download, 20x zoom, comes with good (if basic) sofeware and is around £150.
I use it on a suction mount looking through the windscreen or handheld (when I'm not driving   ).

If you look at some of DVD cams then make sure they will download onto your PC, some will only download to a VHS or DVD recorder!!
