Need new discs where should i go?
« on: July 02, 2007, 20:24:57 »
As the title suggests..the brake light is flickering on intermitantly and i know the pads are right down plus i have a warped disc which makes braking painful!! Luckily the trailer helps me out! ; )

Where should i go for standard discs and pads?

Britpart or Paddocks are OK for brake parts, look them up on the web

I find the honk-kong-fuey unbranded disks a bit poo though, they are made of cheapo iron and once a little worn they judder like they are warped, it's the iron that's porous and once you've worn the surface away they are wrecked.  Ok if you don't mind changing them a lot though, £12 each it's not even worth taking them back.

Go to Paddocks for new standard disks - Island 4x4 are very good but they admit to not being able to match Paddocks prices on standard/solid disks

If you are going to replace your disks, you might want to replace your wheel bearings whilst you have everything apart - Island4x4 sell wheel bearing kits and they are the best price by far I could find recently
