For a number of reasons it's become impractical to continue to keep our UK registered Pajero here in Greece, so we've bought a Greek registered car instead:







It's a 3.4 V6 Manual Petrol, so it's just a little bit quicker than the 2800 Pajero, and it's got so much torque it's just as easy to drive, even without the auto gearbox.

A bloke told me today that there is no road tax in greece???
Also that vehicle insurance is covered in your fuel costs???
This bloke is a bit of a "jackanory", so didnt know if he was making it up as usual just to make conversation.

Whether there's an element of "it's not road tax, it's vehicle excise duty" I don't know, but one way or another the vehicle has to be taxed annually (every vehicle is taxed in January - I can't wait to see the queue in the post office)!

And, if insurance is included in fuel costs, then I just wasted 700 euros on an insurance policy I didn't need....

I knew it...... this guy cant speak a word of truth "at all" ever..... must have a psycological problem of some sort....  "he apparently hired a bike in greece and the hire company kept giving him free fuel and let him have the bike for an extra week for nothing" (I'm gonna confront him infront of all his mates re: fuel/insurance)
