Help with regards challenge regulations..
« on: July 09, 2007, 09:07:05 »
Im off to do a fun challenge event this weekend and reading through the regulations my chassis needs to be adequatly strengthened for the inside compartment.

the rear part of my sills are rusted and inside both rear doors there are holes in the floor.

Now are they going to be that picky and not let me run just cuz of this???

I hope so, the vehicle should really be tougher than standard(or at least as good), not degraded in any way which could cause potential injury.
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

Check out the Scorpion website, look under challenge events, and see the regs section. I have Scrutineered for one of the Clubman events, and the level of prep varies hugely. From people who have made little effort, to those whose car is spot on with all the boxes ticked.
Id say make every effort. At the end of the day, the challenge events are serious business, the insurance and regulations are in place to ensure everyones safety, and should be adhered to.
